in Plastics Compounding
From Toll Compounding to Custom Formulations
At RESIN (Products & Technology) B.V., we provide custom and toll compounding of a wide range of rigid and elastomeric polyolefin compounds. These materials are used to injection mold or extrude parts widely used in the automotive, building, consumer goods, and packaging industries (i.e., car parts, roofing products, garden furniture).
We also have the capabilities and the experience to compound a wide range of other thermoplastic resin families.
These materials can be neat or reinforced (glass, mineral, etc.), natural or colored, and modified with a wide variety of additive packages to enhance performance.
Green at the Heart of Everything We Do
One of the things that sets RESIN apart from other toll or custom compounders is our insistence on always selecting the most benign technology available to accomplish our goals. Hence, we were leaders in developing halogen-free, ECO-compliant flame-retardant compounds that are better for workers, end-users, and the environment.
We also maintain our own grinding operations so we can reprocess our own scrap and that of others. This allows us to offer many compounds in base resins that contain post-industrial and/or post-consumer recyclate.
Support as well as Quality Assurance
Whether we're producing large lots of a toll compound or helping our customers develop a completely new formulation, we put quality in everything we make.
Our in-house laboratory is well equipped to do all required small-scale property evaluation of developmental grades or sample batches of compound. And our experienced quality-assurance (QA) employees perform process monitoring and quality sampling & testing in house.
For more complex testing and development requirements, RESIN works closely together with a specialised spin-off company of the Polymer Department of the Technical University of Twente.
Fully Upgraded Plastics Compounding Infrastructure
RESIN (Products & Technology) B.V. upgraded its infrastructure in 2009 and now operates two twin-screw plastics compounding units. Our extruders have capacities of 2.500 and 4.000 kg/hour, bringing our annual compounding capacity to 25.000 tonnes. Both compounding units are equipped with flexible and accurate dosing and blending equipment, which are operated by staff with over 20 years of compounding experience. We also have a silo park with 2.600 m3 of storage facilities and are able to deliver our plastic compounds in various packaging formats such as silo trucks, big bags and octabins.
